The games in Strathcona County will focus on six major strengths: the participant experience, youth involvement, first-class facilities, inclusive sport and culture, support from community partners, and eager, willing and experienced volunteers.
Are you interested in becoming a volunteer?
There are several portfolio areas within the 2026 Alberta Summer Games that are looking for eager volunteers! These include Sports, Results and Facility roles, Transportation Ambassadors, Admission roles, Cultural Ambassadors and more.
Please note:
- Strathcona County uses a third-party software called Timecounts for volunteer registration and communication.
- Recreation, Parks and Culture has a minimum age requirement of 16 years for our volunteer positions. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all our volunteers and the community we serve. Interested volunteers who are not yet 16 years old can volunteer along with a guardian who is over the age of 18. Both will need to apply to the same position.
