The games in Strathcona County will focus on six major strengths: the participant experience, youth involvement, first-class facilities, inclusive sport and culture, support from community partners, and eager, willing and experienced volunteers.

Please note:

“The volunteers at the Alberta Summer Games truly made the experience unforgettable. Their enthusiasm, organization, and kindness created such a welcoming atmosphere, and their hard work behind the scenes made everything run smoothly. I’m so grateful for the time and energy they dedicated to making the event a success.”

Maren Fullerton, Youth Ambassador

“I believe volunteers can make or break an event, and at the Games I attended they always put athletes first. They went out of their way to help when serving food, guiding us to our events, or even handling things I hadn’t thought of, like who to talk to or where to get our bibs and equipment. Volunteering also has its perks: you make great memories and build relationships. You should do it!”

Viktor Merritt, Youth Ambassador
