How old do you need to be to volunteer?
The Alberta Summer Games welcomes volunteers 16Y+ to sign-up alone and 13 to 15 years old who are accompanied by a parent/guardian (both will need to apply to the same position).

When are volunteers needed?
Volunteers are needed from July 11 to 19.

Do volunteers receive access to Games events?
Volunteers can attend any sporting event as a spectator by showing their accreditation tag at the admissions tent. The Opening Ceremonies is excluded from this and is a ticket-only event. Volunteers will be able to purchase tickets come Spring 2026.

Do I need to provide a criminal record check to volunteer?
Criminal record checks are position specific and can be complete at the time of registration.
